Vox Threnody is a solo music project, combining loves of music from nearly every counter culture of the 80s and 90s. The love of bands like: Napalm Death, Assuck, Brujeria, Terrorizor, and so many more, come together with the love of crusty, anarcho, straight edge punk rock, death metal, synthpop, post punk, avant guard madness, etc..
Vox Threnody is anti-fascist, anti-corporate, anti-capitalist.
This EP is a love letter to all of my influences growing up. Death, Napalm Death. Filth, Doom, Assuck, Bolt Thrower and so SO many more.
The general concept of the EP is built around the observable fact that we, the proletariat, have built everything beautiful on earth, and the moment the work was complete? We get ejected from the space and it obtains a price tag so egregious, that we'll never enter again. Housing, food, healthcare, knowledge, entertainment ... It's already ours. WE built it. It's time we take it back.
